The Texas Xtreme men

The Xtreme was playing an away game , but it felt just like playing in our backyard. The Xtreme won the game 7-1, but it was a solid performance from both squads. with a one goal lead going into the 4th quarter of the game , the Xtreme went into a 2 line system which connected exactly at the right time. Jose Burciaga had a  pair of goals on the night as well as Alex Sabando. Hector Sabando  produced a great assist as Garrett Gable and Xtreme Coach Dalitiso muluzi scored goals on the Night. The goal of the Game was from Mario Carillo who struck a great ball during an offensive power play. The defensive lines for the Xtreme where very solid thru the night.

The man of the Match had to go to the goalkeeper Tommy Tynes who not only had a 95% goalkeeping rating , but he also came up with some big saves when needed. Goalkeeper JC Cedillo also made a few great saves as he had to step in for a defensive power play. 

The Xtreme play Saturday at 10:30 AM @ American indoor. We would like to thank all of the fans who attend the game. the support was greatly appreciated. 

A few short

The Texas Xtreme men's team fell two goals short in their season opener against Austin Saturday night. The  Xtreme fielded a team that had six players under the age of twenty two , All of which made their first PASL league debut. 

The speed of play and lack of training really showed up quickly in the young team which hurt the teams shape and organization.  Texas Xtreme was the last team to enter the league this season and did not have tryouts or many training sessions leading up to the first game.

It was a very good game as the Xtreme had a chance to pull out the victory with two minutes remaining in the game. The Xtreme was down 7-5 when Mario Carillo stepped in goal as the sixth attacker. A minute later  Xtreme pulled within one goal. Being down by a goal with two minutes left , Xtreme went back to the sixth attacker. With in a few seconds one of the Xtreme defenders made a technical error on a pass which left an open net for the Austin team to pass the ball in the goal for the win. 

  I  was very proud of the effort put into tonight's game by all players , but especially proud of how the veteran players reacted and supported the young players. It was an act of class. " Kevin Leonard"  

Jose Burciaga JR lead the scoring for the Xtreme with a hat trick on the night. David Balyeat and Cody Ellis each scored a goal in their first PASL game. Goalkeeper JC Cedillo had a very solid game in goal,  but was caught out of position a few times. The defense was lead by veterans Israel Salazar , Mario Carillo and Dalitso Muluzi. Cody Ellis had a solid performance in his first PASL game. 

The Texas Xtreme play Vitesse this next Saturday in Mansfield , Texas. 

Vitesse has been a power house in the PASL premier over the last four years which includes a National Championship. The Xtreme team should have Three more veterans back in the line up this weekend.
